Police: Woman Hid Stolen Items in Stoller with Infant
26-year-old from Sterling Heights issued a citation for retail fraud.

Retail Fraud
- Two teenage girls from Bloomfield Hills will be petitioned to Probate Court after Troy Police detained them on Wednesday at Nordstrom (2850 W. Big Beaver Rd., Troy). According to police, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old shoplifted two dresses, a tank top and a pair of sunglasses. They were turned over to their parents.
- A woman entered Henri Bendel (2800 W. Big Beaver Rd., Troy) on Thursday afternoon at 1:17 p.m. and walked out with a $298 purse without paying for it, according to a store manager who filed a report with Troy Police. The suspect was described as an approximately 20 year-old woman wearing a gray coat.
- Troy Police said that a Sterling Heights woman pushing an infant child on a stroller through Kohl's (500 John R Road, Troy) hid $186.99 worth of stolen merchandise in the stroller. The incident, on Thursday night, led to a citation being issued for third-degree retail fraud.
- A 15-year-old boy from Dearborn will be petitioned to Probate Court after being detained on Thursday evening at North Face (2800 Big Beaver Rd., Troy). According to police, the boy shoplifted a $149 jacket. A parent was notified.
- A woman entered Louis Vuitton (2801 W. Big Beaver Rd., Troy) on Thursday night at 7:25 p.m. and ran out with two men's belts worth $1,140, according to a store manager who filed a report with Troy Police. The suspect was described described as 22 years-old, 6’2” tall and 140 pounds. She had a ponytail and was wearing all-black.
- A Detroit woman with two previous convictions for retail fraud was arrested at Sephora (2800 W. Big Beaver Rd., Troy) on Thursday night. Troy Police said that the 49-year-old woman shoplifted six makeup items with a total retail value of $163.24. She was arrested for second-degree retail fraud.
Driving Under Influence of Alcohol/Drugs
(West Maple Road and Thunderbird, 12:04 a.m.) Troy Police arrested a Birmingham woman early Thursday morning who had been seen weaving through lanes and traveling with her cars' hazard lights on. According to police, the woman, 33, smelled of intoxicants, failed sobriety tests and was arrested for operating while intoxicated. She later breath tested at .16 percent.
(East Big Beaver Road and Dequindre Road, 1:13 a.m.) Troy Police arrested a Sterling Heights man early Friday morning for operating while intoxicated, saying he had been speeding and weaving through lanes. According to police, a schedule 2 amphetamine was found in his right front pants pocket once in a Troy lock-up facility. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. A blood test was given and results are pending.

Larcenies from Autos
Two men at Altair Engineering (1820 E. Big Beaver Rd., Troy) reported the catalytic converter was stolen from their Oldsmobile Alero and Jeep Cherokee cars sometime Tuesday.
A man at MS Plaza (631 E. Big Beaver Rd., Troy) reported the catalytic converter was cut off and stolen from his Chevrolet Cavalier between 2-4 p.m. Tuesday.
