Project DayDream Actors help the Cereal Drive

Project DayDream and the youth cast of this summer’s upcoming production of “Beauty and the Beast” decided to take a break from rehearsals and put their scripts aside this week to become Hunger Heroes for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and Gleaner’s Fourth Annual Cereal Drive.  “I am always proud of PDD’s commitment to outreach projects. I firmly believe, as performers, it is our artistic call of duty to use our creativity to spread a little happiness and magic to as many young individuals as possible,” said founder and executive directorTiffany Victoria Sims.  PDD’s participants contributed over 50 boxes of cereal to the DMC charitable effort to help fight child hunger this summer (www.childrensdmc.org/cerealdrive for more information).

Pictured here are some members of the show’s cast of over 70 elementary, middle, high and college students from around the Detroit Metro area.  Based in Birmingham, Project DayDream is celebrating their 10th year, and is committed to providing unique performing arts opportunities to families and communities. Their work is inspired by the belief that the arts produce phenomenal impacts within the lives of individuals and communities--leaving behind the most awe-inspiring fingerprints humanity has ever seen. “Beauty and the Beast” marks the group’s 53rd production, and will be performed July 18-19,2013 at Seaholm High School in Birmingham. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit ProjectDayDream.org.
