Rochester Road Reopens at Square Lake Road
The road was closed for nearly 24 hours just north of Square Lake Road as crews worked to replace a utility pole destroyed in a car accident Wednesday night.
Rochester Road finally re-opened at Square Lake Road late Thursday evening after a driver lost control of his vehicle Wednesday night and , severing the pole at its base and shutting down the road in both directions for nearly 24 hours.
Only one lane is open in each direction shortly after midnight Friday as crews continue to clean up; both lanes are open Friday morning.
The road was shut down in both directions all day Thursday while crews , installed a new pole and repaired electrical wires.

Lt. Bob Redmond, spokesperson for the Troy Police Department, said the driver of the vehicle, who likely suffered a seizure right before the crash, is "going to be alright" after two college students and a teenager and pulled him from the vehicle after the accident, according to an article in The Oakland Press. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
