No Injuries Reported in Troy Apartment Fire

A Sunday afternoon fire at Charter Square Apartments was contained to one room and did not spread to other apartments.

An apartment fire at Charter Square Apartments in Troy did not cause injuries to residents or firefighters, according to a Troy Fire Department release issued Monday.

At 4:07 p.m. Sunday, Fire Stations 1 and 4, along with Air Tender 3 were sent to the scene at 2815 Charter Blvd. following a neighbor's report of smoke coming out of a window. The people who live in the apartment safely left prior to the fire department's arrival.

Thanks to quick work by the firefighters on scene, the fire was contained to one room of the apartment and no other apartments were affected by the fire. The occupants of the involved apartment are staying at an undisclosed hotel.

The cause of the fire has not been released and remains under investigation.
