Troy High School Earns Gold Medal Status

U.S. News and World Report ranks Troy High as the sixth best in Michigan while Troy Athens ranked 11th.

TROY, MI — Troy High School is the sixth best high school in Michigan, according to U.S. News and World Report. Overall, the school ranked as the 397th best high school in the country. Nearby Rochester Adams High School ranked fourth in Michigan and 319th overall.

U.S. News and World Report has crunched the numbers for 2017, releasing its annual list of best high schools in the country. In Michigan, Wellspring Preparatory High School in Grand Rapids earned the title of the best high school in the state. Overall, the school ranked 211th in the country. Arbor Preparatory in Ypsilanti ranked as the second best in Michigan, followed by Black River Public High School in in Holland.

Six Michigan high schools were given gold medals by U.S. News, 77 received silver and 52 received bronze medals. Troy Athens High School ranked 11th in Michigan and 579th in the country. Athens also earned a Silver Medal designation.
