Troy Library Millage: The Results
Here are the final results of the library millage.
Troy residents voted 12,246 to 8,799 Tuesday in favor of creating a millage to fund the Troy Public Library.

With the final numbers arriving just after 10 p.m., Aileen Bittner, the acting city clerk, said the election ran very smoothly.

Bittner said the turnout was in line with what she expected. She said the previous special election brought in around 19,000 voters, with today's exact figure at 21,045.
She said no serious difficulties were reported at polling places.

Bittner, who is new to the job, said she was relieved that no serious problems arose on her watch.
"This was my first election as clerk," she said. "Being done before 10:30 is awesome."Â
