6 Vie to Become Troy's Mayor
Incumbent Mayor Dane Slater among those who met Tuesday's filing deadline for May 7 election.
Six Troy residents filed to run for one partial term as Mayor in the May 7 consolidated election by Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline, according to city officials.
Incumbent Mayor Dane Slater, who was appointed on Nov. 26 following the Nov. 7 ouster of Mayor Janice Daniels, is among the candidates vying to serve the term, expiring Nov. 9, 2015.
The five other candidates include former State Representative Marty Knollenberg, David Elsas, Jon Desjardins, Faris Alami, and Scott T. Welborn.
