Troy Police Department Open House Shows Off K-9 Unit and More

The event on Saturday capped off events scheduled as part of National Police Week.

Under sunny skies on Saturday, the Troy Police Department showed dozens of families from in and around Troy how they keep us safe every day.

With the backing of the Troy High School Jazz Ensemble, smiles were all around as police fans toured ambulances, all-purpose vehicles, tactical support vehicles, a communication support truck, and a car smashed by a drunk driver.

K-9 officers showed off what they could do, too, going as far as to search for synthetic drugs which had been planted in the smashed car.
