Troy Woman Charged After Allegedly Hitting Boyfriend with Car
Couple argues, then she uses her vehicle to pin him against a tree, breaking his leg, police say.

Troy resident Lakya Monique Garrison, 31, has been charged with felonious assault after allegedly hitting her boyfriend with her car, according to Troy Police.
Troy officers responded to the area of Big Beaver Road and Civic Center Drive Saturday night after receiving reports that a vehicle had chased and struck a pedestrian. Officers found the victim lying on the ground in a wooded area near Civic Center Drive, police said.
Garrison was also at the scene and an investigation revealed the two had been arguing in her car before the incident. After Garrison's boyfriend got out of the car, she drove the vehicle at him twice, barely missing him both times, according to Troy Police.

Garrison then allegedly drove the vehicle at her boyfriend a third time, hitting him and pinning him against a tree. She then parked the vehicle in a nearby lot and walked back to the scene, police said.
The victim, who suffered a broken femur, was transported to an area hospital, where he remained in stable condition Tuesday afternoon, according to Troy Police.

Garrison was arrested and arraigned on a charge of felonious assault and released on a $5,000 cash surety bond.
