Schools and city offices will be closed. What's open this Memorial Day?

It's nearly Memorial Day, and while schools and city offices are closed and the barbecues are fired up, you still may need to get out and around Troy. Here's what you need to know about what's open and closed.
City offices
- City Hall: City offices are closed on Memorial Day, though the city will host a special Memorial Day service outside City Hall at 11 a.m. Monday.
- Post office:Â All post offices are closed, and there will not be any mail delivery or pickup on Memorial Day.
- Refuse collection:Â Refuse collection will be delayed by one day for the week.
- Emergency: Call 911 for police or fire emergencies. For any non-emergency, call the Police Department at 248-524-3477 or the Fire Department at 248-524-3419.
Around town
- Cemeteries: White Chapel Cemetery is open this weekend and hosting a Memorial Day Celebration Concert Sunday at 3 p.m. and a WWI Polar Bear Memorial Day Service Monday at 11 a.m.
- Library: The Troy Public Library is closed Monday but reopens at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
- Schools: The Troy School District is closed Monday.
- Community Center:Â Recreation Administration and Kids Korner is Closed on Monday.
- Aquatic Center: Due to forecasted cool temperatures, the Aquatic Center will be closed on Friday and Saturday. Call the weather hotline at (248) 524-3518 for opening status on Sunday. Free Admission Day will not be rescheduled.
- Malls: The Somerset Collection will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday. Oakland Mall is open from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
