Wind Advisory in Effect Through Midnight
Expect sustained winds of 30 m.p.h. and wind gusts as high as 45 m.p.h. this afternoon and evening.

It's a blustery start to the new year as the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac issues a Wind Advisory in effect for the area until midnight tonight.
A low pressure system pushing through Michigan will cause sustained winds of more than 30 m.p.h. and wind gusts as high as 45 m.p.h. The strongest winds will occur in the mid-afternoon through early evening.
Winds may subside tonight, though windy conditions will persist into Monday.
