This Morning in Troy: Slippery Commute, Icy Winds, More Snow

Troy was expected to awake to temperatures in the low 20s, around an inch of snow, blustery winds and hazardous driving conditions this morning, according to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac.
Temperatures plummeted overnight, freezing standing water and creating icy patches in places, according to the weather service. Motorists are urged to drive with caution during the morning commute.
Snow showers are expected to continue through today as arctic air settles over the region. Snow may become heavy at times, and additional snowfall accumulation of 1-2 inches is expected by the end of the day. Winds between 8 and 17 m.p.h. and gusts as high as 26 m.p.h. are expected.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 25 and a low around 18.
