UPDATE: Missing Highland Man Found Sleeping in Neighbor's Mobile Home

Oakland County Sheriff's Office deputies were out in force in Highland Township looking for a man who went missing from the area over the weekend.

Update, 2:20 p.m.

Elmer Howland, 88, has been located by Oakland County Sheriff's Deputies in a nearby neighbor’s mobile home, according to the Sheriff's Department. The neighbor had been away and found him sleeping on a couch, a report said. He will be transported to a nearby hospital to be medically assessed. He appears to be in good shape, the Sheriff's Department said.

Deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff's office are out on foot and in the air searching for a missing Highland Township man after his family said they haven't heard from him since Saturday, according to reports on WDIV-TV's Facebook Page.

Oakland County Sheriff deputies confirmed with White Lake-Highland Patch that they have been out looking for the man Monday, but haven't had success in locating him.

The report on WDIV-TV states the man, 88-year-old Elmer Howland, was last seen Saturday at his home in Highland. He may be wearing a red flannel shirt and a baseball cap. A photo of him can be found here.
