Local voices blogger Lynda Foote revisits a blog she wrote following the shootings at Virgina Tech. She writes, "I was looking back on thirty years in the classroom. Today I teach computer lab skills to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders in three school buildings. Same district. Six years later. Different times. But then, maybe not? ...today I will be teaching as security company hired by the district makes it's way through the building, assessing the security measures we have in place and helping us to make it better. Parents and citizens need not worry. The safety of our students is a primary concern."
