The annual event, spearheaded by the American Heart Associationβs Go Red For Women movement, shines a spotlight on heart disease. Cities, businesses, organizations, hospitals and individuals are encouraged to βgo redβ in whatever way theyβd like to show their support to the cause.

- Decorate homes, churches, hospitals and businesses with red decorations
- Use red lighting, wreaths or ribbons
- Cover mailbox in red paint or fabric
- Illuminate pathways and doorframes with red luminaries
- Display the iconic red dress on windows or in store fronts
- Wear an article of red clothing or the Go Red For Women red dress pin

The Go Red For Women movement strives to sufficiently improve heart health and awareness. The goal is to measurably improve heart health, increase and deepen consumer engagement, improve public awareness about women and heart disease and raise funds for the mission.
