SOUTHGATE, MI — HopCat is opening another metro Detroit location sometime this summer, according to parent company Project BarFly.

The new 6,700-square-foot bar and restaurant will open at 15231 Trenton Road in Southgate, which was the site of the Old Chicago restaurant that closed roughly a year ago.

It will be the first HopCat in the downriver area and will seat up to 220 people with a full bar and an expanded outdoor patio.
