Roosevelt Runners Prepare for State Finals

Boys cross country team will compete at Division 1 championship on Saturday at MIS.

boys cross country team will run at the Division 1 state finals on Saturday at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn.

The Bears, the co-champions of the Downriver League, will compete in the race starting at 3 p.m. Tickets to the state meet are $7.

Runners for Roosevelt are Drake Davis, Cody Rowland, Brendan Arthur, Ryan Kusibab, Daniel Balavitch, Jake Coulter and Alex Holmes.

Roosevelt advanced to the state finals after finishing third at the regional meet at Lake Erie Metropark on Oct. 29.

Davis led the Bears at the regional. He finished 15th with a time of 17:48.11.

The Wyandotte Roosevelt girls team placed sixth at the regional meet.
