What issues do you see affecting Wyandotte?
Biggest challenge is the decline of revenue and the provision of city services. The city of Wyandotte provides excellent city services.
What is your plan to address those issues?
Council over the next four years, and beyond, should continue the exploration into service efficiencies, partnerships and collaborations which reduce the cost of government while maintaining the quality of service that residents of Wyandotte have come to expect.
Some Downriver cities are struggling, while others are managing their budgets successfully. We should always be looking for best-practices, and if applicable, implement in the city of Wyandotte.
There are organizations Michigan municipal league that are useful resources.
But our greatest strength is right in our backyards: volunteerism and community spirit. That is the essence of local, representative government.
