Wyandotte Woman: Aunt to Creatures Big and Small

Cindie Loucks calls herself the animal aunt.

Loucks has provided pet-sitting services to Wyandotte residents for the past 13 years with her business Animal Aunt Pet Sitting Service, LLC.

Undaunted by unique pets, Loucks encourages clients to hire her to watch even the biggest, the smallest and most exotic pets, according to the Animal Aunt website.

Animals Aunt provides services including:

• Dog walking for single and multiple dogs.
• Dog walking for up to 45 minutes.
• Overnight pet sitting.
• Certification in pet loss and grieving consutation.
• Pet loss support groups.
• Potty breaks.

Loucks once sat for a snake and, though she said it was easy, it was the strangest pet she's worked with, so far.

"I do everything and I cover the whole Downriver area," Loucks said.

Loucks recommends pet owners who work eight or more hours per day consider taking advantage of her services.
