405 Crashes Reported Tuesday Amid Snowfall In MN: State Patrol
Eighty crashes reported Tuesday involved vehicles leaving the road, with snow and ice playing a role in many, according to police.
MINNESOTA — The Minnesota State Patrol responded to more than 400 crashes Tuesday as snow fell throughout much of the state.
Sgt. Troy Christianson, a public information officer for the State Patrol, said there were 234 crashes reported from 5 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
PIO Sgt. Jesse Grabow said 171 crashes were reported Tuesday afternoon and evening, taking the total to 405 crashes between 5 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday across Minnesota.

Those crashes caused one death and injuries to 36 drivers or passengers, according to police.
A 52-year-old man from Isle died after his pickup truck left the eastbound lanes of Highway 610 near Elm Creek and rolled into the median, the Minnesota State Patrol said.
