9 DVS Exam Stations Reopen In MN After Long Pandemic Closure

Forty-one Driver and Vehicle Services locations have reopened across Minnesota. Officials hope to reopen the remaining 52 by Jan. 31.

MINNESOTA — The Minnesota Department of Public Safety reopened nine of its Driver and Vehicle Services exam stations in December after shutting them down at the start of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020.

Officials are once again scheduling appointments for knowledge and road-skills tests at exam stations in Buffalo, Lindstrom, Stillwater, Park Rapids, Pine City, Elbow Lake, Milaca, Mahnomen and Mora, according to the Minnesota DPS website.

Those locations were among the almost 80 exam stations that shut down last spring after the onset of the coronavirus pandemic caused staffing and safety issues that forced the DPS’ Driver and Vehicles division to consolidate.
