Explosion In St. Francis Due To Northrop Grumman Tests: Police
The defense and aerospace company was conducting tests at its facility in rural St. Francis, north of the Metro Area, police said.
ST. FRANCIS, MN — An explosion Tuesday morning north of the Metro Area in St. Francis was the result of testing by the defense and aerospace company Northrop Grumman, according to police.
"At about 10:30AM many of you may have heard, or felt, a large explosion," police said in a social media post. "Thank you to all those that called in to report the explosion."
According to police, the testing occurred at the company's facility on the west side of St. Francis, which is located on the border of Anoka and Isanti counties.
