MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Ever wonder which political candidates your neighbors are supporting, or how much money is flowing through your ZIP code during election season?

A tool from the nonprofit watchdog OpenSecrets.org enables Minnesotans to search for political contributions by ZIP code, providing a detailed look at who is giving, how much, and to which candidates or causes.

Take the 55416 area (covering parts of St. Louis Park, Minneapolis, Edina, and Golden Valley) as an example:

  • A retired Minneapolis resident gave $2,500 to the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party.
  • A cardiologist at the University of Minnesota, who lives in 55416, donated $250 to Kamala Harris's campaign.

  • A Golden Valley rabbi contributed $500 to the Progressive Turnout Project, a national Democratic-aligned PAC.
