Hot Summer Temperatures Return For State Fair: MN Weather

MINNEAPOLIS — Following a period of fall-like temperatures, the weather will jump back into summer mode just in time for the Minnesota State Fair and back to school.

"Temperatures will be heating up through the weekend with highs near 90 expected by Sunday," the National Weather Service said. "There is a chance of thunderstorms Thursday and Thursday night, otherwise dry weather is anticipated into next week."

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 77. South wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. South wind 10 to 15 mph.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 81. South southwest wind around 10 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 86. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 69. East southeast wind around 10 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 90. East southeast wind around 10 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 71. Southeast wind around 10 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 87. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.
