3 Apple Valley Students Named All-Americans in Cheerleading

Three cheerleaders at have been named Universal Cheerleaders Association All-Americans.

Sophomore Kathryn Berens, sophomore Briana Sheffel and senior Katie Beggs were honored as All-American cheerleaders based on cheer, dance and jump skills displayed at a private camp the Apple Valley team held earlier this month, according to an announcement from the team.

The three will have the opportunity to perform in the London New Year's Eve parade with other top cheerleaders from around the country.

As a whole, the team received a superior rating on their camp cheer and camp routine, as well as a leadership award.
