A life-long Minnesotan, I attended Northwestern college and live in Apple Valley with my husband, Rob. I work in the Minnesota State Senate as a Legislative Assistant. Before that, I worked in a family-owned small business, was a shift supervisor at Caribou Coffee, and was a Personal Care Attendant for seven years. The focus of my campaign is improving our economy and growing jobs. I will work toward breaking down barriers to job growth, reduce taxes, eliminate regulatory burdens and cut wasteful government spending. I will support a tax system in Minnesota that allows families to keep more of their hard earned dollars. I will bring common-sense solutions and reforms to many areas of the state budget, such as market-based health care, and will support efforts to provide world-class education to our students, so that these services are cost-effective and meet the high standards expected by the hard-working taxpayers of this district.
