Apple Valley Awarded $5.6 Million By American Rescue Plan

APPLE VALLEY, MN — The city of Apple Valley was awarded $5.6 million from the federal American Rescue Plan that was signed into law last year. That's according to the new ARPA Tracker created by the GREATER MSP Partnership.

"The MSP ARPA Tracker creates transparency into how cities and counties in our region are prioritizing $1.2 billion in flexible federal funding," said Peter Frosch, President & CEO of the GREATER MSP Partnership.

"The decisions these cities and counties make now regarding their ARPA funds are incredibly important to our future. Maximizing the opportunity with ARPA funding could make our region more inclusive, safe, vibrant and competitive for decades to come. This is our chance to jumpstart a generation of growth and prosperity in the Greater MSP region."

• Public Safety: Expansion of the Community Impact Unit Service in the Police Department: $429,000
• Public Safety: Video Storage Hardware and Expanded Storage Capabilities: $140,000
• Public Safety Infrastructure/Facilities: Police Operational Support/Garage Facility: $1,195,000
• Public Safety Infrastructure/Facilities: Improvements at Fire Station #2/Storm Water Handling: $526,000
• Public Works Infrastructure/Facilities: Water Infrastructure Security Throughout Water System: $450,000
• Public Works Infrastructure/Facilities: Improvements at the Central Maintenance Facility: $1,000,000
