There are plans for a Mexican market and restaurant to be built on the empty field across from LA Fitness, just South of Enterprise Car Rental. It will be 21,350 sq.ft. Plans are for a Class 1 Mexican restaurant and a mercado type market with butcher/deli and a production/warehouse storage for fresh tortillas and other goods. No name for the restaurant has been established yet but the location is being called “Galaxie Market” (artist rendering above). It will have a large patio on the sunny South side (artist rendering below) which will close at 9 pm weekdays and 10 pm on weekends in consideration of the apartments nearby.
