Dakota County District 4 was redrawn with the recent Census Changes (every 10 years) leaving the majority of Rosemount and Eagan in a different district making running for County Commissioner more appealing to Mayor Droste.

He said he is all in and will not run for another term as Mayor of Rosemount, win or lose. Formerly most of Rosemount and much of Eagan was represented by Joe Atkins in District 4 but Joe will now run in District 2 which has even more of InverGrove Heights and other cities.

Running against Rosemount Mayor Droste for County Commissioner is Logan O’Grady of Rosemount and John Murphy of InverGrove Heights.
