Apple Valley Cheer Named Grand Champion at National Tournament

The competition cheer team were named Grand Champion and Division Champion at the Wow! Factor Sports cheer and dance nationals at the Minneapolis Convention Center this past weekend. 

The team had three "near flawless" performances throughout the weekend, wrote coach Tasia Berger, and earned 345.5 out of a possible 400 points to receive the top honor. 

Thirteen students are on the team, Berger wrote, and more than half are freshmen this year.
