Apple Valley Cross Country Teams Win in St. Michael

Both the boys and girls varsity cross country teams from finished two points ahead of St. Michael-Albertville's teams to take the top spots at the St. Michael-Albertville Invitational on Thursday.

The girls finished with 54 points; the boys finished with 66 points.

For the boys, Nick Hughes finished fastest, in fifth place of 87 runners with a time of 17:40; Alex Brandel followed him in sixth place with a time of 17:43.93.

For the girls, Abbey Singleton was the fastest finisher, in sixth place overall of 65 runners with a time of 16:02.83. Next from the Apple Valley girls team was Alexa Nelson in ninth, with a time of 16:10.67.
