Apple Valley High School Names New Head Basketball Coach
David Collier will be the new head basketball coach for Apple Valley High School.
APPLE VALLEY, MN — Apple Valley High School announced that it had hired a new head basketball coach.
David Collier has over 15 years of coaching experience and began his coaching career at Valley Middle School, Apple Valley High School said. He has been at Delasalle High School for the past 16 years, according to AVHS.
Collier is a resident of Apple Valley, where he lives with his wife and three kids, the school said. He has a Bachelor's degree in urban youth development and works as a Senior Diversity and Inclusion Consultant, the school said.

"I'm so thankful and honored for the opportunity to become Head Coach of the Apple Valley boys basketball program," Collier said. "I am aware of the rich history and tradition in this program, ad know that there is so much untapped potential in this community. I look forward to working towards a common goal and purpose with the student-athletes, as well as developing a championship culture. This is all how we prepare ourselves to accomplish our goals collectively, and how we hold each other accountable to strive for excellence in everything we do."
