Over the weekend I saw the driver of a rental truck back up and knock over a fire hydrant.

So there is an art to truck driving, and professional drivers were putting themselves to the test in Fridley at the Minnesota Trucking Association's annual Minnesota Truck Driving Championships

Con-Way Freight hosted the event Saturday and Sunday, and the winner was Apple Valley resident Chuck Colin, a driver for ABF Freight Systems in Eagan, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press

"Chuck has been driving for 37 years, covering 2.5 million career miles," said MTA President and CEO John Hausladen. "He beat 88 other drivers by earning the top score."
