Apple Valley's Steveson Wins Gold In Freestyle 125kg​ Wrestling

APPLE VALLEY, MN — Gable Steveson, of Apple Valley, won a gold medal Friday in Men's Freestyle 125kg Wrestling in the Tokyo Olympics.

Steveson beat silver medalist Geno Petriashvili, of Georgia, 10-8 in the finals.

The bronze medalists in this event were Amir Zare of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Taha Akgul of Turkey.
