Eastview's Nick Oelke Finishes 15th of 157 at State Cross Country Meet

junior Nick Oelke placed 15th of 157 individual runners in the Class AA boys state cross country race, held Saturday at St. Olaf College in Northfield.

Oelke's 16:06.0 time in the 5-kilometer race was about 36 seconds off the first-place time by Wayzata's Josh Thorson, who finished in 15:29.9.

Oelke was the lone runner from Eastview or high schools to qualify for the state meet this year.

Stillwater was the top team finisher in the boys Class AA race, followed by Burnsville and Stillwater.
