Eastview's Nick Oelke Qualifies for State Cross Country Meet
All four Eastview and Apple Valley cross country teams placed in the top six in their respective section 3AA meets on Wednesday.

junior Nick Oelke qualified for the Class AA state cross country meet with his run in the section 3AA championships on Wednesday at the University of Minnesota's Les Bohlstad Golf Course.
Oelke placed third of 104 runners with a time of 15:52.0.
The Eastview boys team was just out of reach of a state berth for their team; they finished third of 15 teams, with 68 points. Rosemount won the meet with 58 points and Burnsville followed in second with 66 points—both will go to state.

Eastview's girls cross country team placed sixth in their section, with 173 points. Freshman Lauren Herland finished highest, in 29th place with a 15:53.0 time.
The Apple Valley girls cross country team placed fourth, and the Apple Valley boys finished fifth. Senior Alexa Nelson was the highest finisher for the girls, with a time of 15:35.0 for 21st place, and junior Nick Hughes finished 22nd for the boys with a 16:53.0.

The state races are scheduled for Nov. 5 at St. Olaf College in Northfield.
