DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Erin Maye Quade, a candidate for Minnesota State Senate, announced that her campaign will continue to the August primary.

Maye Quade went into labor in April at the state's DFL endorsement convention and ended up withdrawing from the convention to go to the hospital. Justin Emmerich ended up getting the endorsement.

"It is because of my convention experience and the support from my community that I am proud to announce our campaign for State Senate will continue to the August primary," Maye Quade tweeted.

"I got into this race to continue the work I've always done: building a movement to improve people's lives and tackle the root causes of our greatest challenges," she continued in another tweet. "And as we head into the August primary, we're going to keep doing just that."
