Farmington Public Schools Closed Due To Threat
Farmington Public Schools transitioned to a Flexible Learning Day Friday following a threat in the district received Thursday night.
FARMINGTON, MN — Farmington Public Schools transitioned to a Flexible Learning Day Friday following a threat in the district received Thursday night, the district said on its website.
All district buildings are closed to the public, the district said.
The district said it is working with Farmington Police Department to investigate the threat.

"Please know that we take all threats of violence seriously, investigating them swiftly and thoroughly," Farmington Public Schools said. "Open and clear communication is key to maintaining a safe community."
Schools across the country are on high alert due to a "TikTok Challenge" that encourages students to threaten violence at their schools Friday.

Lakeville Public Schools also closed Friday due to a received threat.
Farmington Public Schools also asked families to have their children tell an adult if they see or hear something that makes them uncomfortable.
"If you or your child have concerns about school safety, the best thing you can do is report it to school officials or the Farmington Police Department," the district said.
