Five Things You Should Know Today: September 22

It's the last day of summer. So naturally it's going to feel like late fall.

  1. The National Weather Service predicts a “slight chance” – 20 percent – of showers between noon and 4 p.m. today, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 76. Tonight’s low will dip to 39, with light and variable winds but no more rain in the forecast.  
  2. Celebrate the end of summer at at the Wabasha Street Caves in St. Paul. Tonight’s music will be provided by Swingbeat; doors open at 6 p.m., with lessons at 6:15 and live music from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $7 at the door.     
  3. Help with a launch party from 7:30 to 9 a.m. today at Caribou Coffee, 1361 Heather St. Collect free Patch swag, and register to win gift cards from Caribou, Von Hanson Meats and more.
