The first day of autumn will be a nice one – nicer than the last few days of summer.

- We’ll have patchy fog before 8 this morning, but otherwise skies will be mostly sunny today, with a high near 61 and calm winds, the National Weather Service says. More patchy fog tonight after 4 a.m., with partly cloudy skies, a low around 39 and calm winds.
- The at 7 tonight in a football matchup. It should be a pretty nice night for football, but fill your Thermos with coffee. Or something else to keep you warm.
- The fourth annual begins at noon today at Southern Hills Golf Course in Farmington. Lunch will be served at noon, followed by a best-ball shotgun start at 1 p.m., and dinner after the tournament.
