We're starting the week with a chance of rain, but don't despair – things are supposed to get better.

- There’s a 30 percent chance of showers today, according to the National Weather Service, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 64 and northeast winds gusting as high as 25 mph. That 30 percent chance of rain persists into the evening, with a predicted low around 51 and north winds between 6 and 13 mph.
- The District 196 School Board meets at 6 tonight at Dakota Ridge School, 4629 144th St. W. in Apple Valley. On the agenda: the 2010-11 annual report on curriculum, instruction and student achievement, and discussion of the 2011 property tax levy limitation. The public is welcome to attend.
- The Rosemount Parks and Recreation Commission also meets tonight, at 7 in Rosemount City Hall. The agenda includes discussion of the 10-year capital improvement plan, a review of parks and recreation fees and the fee policy, and the director’s report. The meeting is public.
