Fundraiser Planned for Rosemount Trainer Devastated by Tornado

Randy Weidner, a Rosemount resident who races horses at Canterbury Park, lost all 12 of the horses he had stabled at Celestial Acres Training Center, near Moore, Okla.

The Minnesota Thoroughbred Association is holding a fundraiser for Randy Weidner, the Rosemount resident and Canterbury trainer who .

"Please help Oklahoma tornado victim [and] trainer Randy Weidner rebuild his racing stable and his life!" the organization wrote in a flyer. "Randy lost horses, tack, his truck & trailer, all of his racing equipment and all of his personal effects in the May 20th disaster."

The fundraiser will be held at 6 p.m. June 5 at Silks Bar in Canterbury Park. For $15, attendees will receive dinner and entertainment—including a silent auction and a live auction.
