Gable Steveson Signs With WWE

Steveson will be on the WWE roster while still wrestling for the University of Minnesota to defend his NCAA title.

APPLE VALLEY, MN — Gold medal Olympian from Apple Valley Gable Steveson announced in a Tweet that he was signed by WWE.

Steveson will be on the WWE roster while still wrestling for the University of Minnesota to defend his NCAA title, according to a news release from WWE.

This is the company's first-ever NIL(allowing for college athletes to monetize on their Name, Image, Likeness) deal, WWE said.

The 21-year-old will graduate in the spring with a business degree, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported. After graduation he will be a full-time performer for WWE, the report said.
