Impaired Man Drives His Car Into Apple Valley Home: Police

Nobody was in the house when it was hit, police said.

APPLE VALLEY, MN — A man who is believed to have been impaired crashed his car into a house off of Pennock Avenue early Sunday, Apple Valley Police Department said.

Police said they pulled over the driver around 1 a.m. Sunday after he made several moving violations, including running through a stop sign.

The 29-year-old man drove away during the traffic stop, heading northbound on Pennock Avenue, police said. He ran a red light at 140th St. before driving off the road at a curve and hitting a house, according to police.

Nobody was in the house when it was hit, the Police Department said. The driver was injured and brought to the hospital, according to police.

The man's blood was drawn to determine how intoxicated he was, according to police. He is also pending charges of fleeing from police and driving after cancellation, officials said.
