Rosemount Man Dies After Being Hit By Car
The fatal crash occurred on the intersection of Chippendale Avenue and 155th Street West.
ROSEMOUNT, MN — A 73-year-old man believed to be a Rosemount resident died after being hit by a car on the intersection of 155th St W and Chippendale Avenue Wednesday evening, according to a news release from Rosemount Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the to the intersection around 5 p.m. for an accident involving a pedestrian and a car, police said.
Officers found the man unresponsive just north of the intersection and began CPR, according to police. Police called for air medical transport, according to officials.

The medical helicopter landed near Winds Park and medical personnel continued life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver of the car was cooperative and remained on scene, according to police. He was released pending further investigation, officials said.

The victim was wearing dark clothing, according to police. A witness driving in the area around the time of the accident reported almost hitting him, police said.
The man will be publicly identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner once his family is notified.
