Man Found Dead In Apple Valley Pond Identified

APPLE VALLEY, MN — The 66-year-old who was found dead in an Apple Valley pond has been identified by the Dakota County Sheriff's Office as Lawrence Peltier of Lakeville.

The sheriff's office and Apple Valley Police Department are continuing to investigate the man's death and no more information will be released until the investigation is complete, authorities said.

Officials maintained that no foul play is suspected at this time.

Peltier was found by a passerby in the pond adjacent to Galaxie Park around noon on Friday, according to officials.
