Patch Poll: Cash or Credit?
The Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school district could implement a new system for parents to make more payments online, rather than by cash or check.

The Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school district board is set to vote at its 6 p.m. Monday meeting at on whether to contract with a company to manage an online-payment system for fees families pay to the district.
The move in part stems from the latest audit report for the district, which —essentially, having cash and checks in schools that isn't given to the district office right away, which can increase opportunities for fraud.
This might happen when students are asked to bring in money to pay for a field trip, or when parents pay school fees by cash or check. The district does have an online system for school lunch payments.
