Photos: Eastview Dance Nabs 6th State Title in High Kick

Add another tally to the Eastview Lightning Dance Team's state championship count.

Eastview dancers kicked their way to another state dance title in Class AAA high kick on Saturday at the Target Center.

It's the Lightning's sixth state high kick title in nine seasons; they also won state crowns in high kick in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2011, and a jazz title in 2000.

The Lightning also placed third in the jazz division on Friday, and placed third in jazz last year. Eastview dancers Kaitlyn Brennan and Christine Smith made the all-tournament team.

Apple Valley's AVaires finished fourth in high kick.
