Police: 29-Year-Old Apple Valley Man Allegedly Had Sex With 14-Year-Old Girl

A 29-year-old Apple Valley man faces a sex charge after he allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old whom he met online.

Matthew Henry Freeman is charged in Dakota County with third-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony that holds a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.

According to the criminal complaint, interviewed a 14-year-old girl, who said she met Freeman in December through video game live-play.

She told police they exchanged phone numbers, and that in January they went to a movie together, the complaint says; she told Freeman she was 15 years old.

A week later, the girl told her parents she was staying overnight at a friend's house but went to Freeman's Apple Valley home, where the two allegedly had sex twice that night, according to the complaint.
