Rosemount Mayor Droste Launches Campaign For County Commissioner
District 4 includes parts of Eagan, Inver Grove Heights, Rosemount, Empire Township, and Lakeville.

ROSEMOUNT, MN — Rosemount Mayor Bill Droste has officially launched his campaign Wednesday for Dakota County Commissioner District 4.
He previously filed for candidacy, and later sent out a statement Wednesday evening.
Droste said in his statement that District 4 includes parts of Eagan, Inver Grove Heights, Rosemount, Empire Township, and Lakeville.

Droste said he served his first term as Rosemount Mayor in 2003. He has also held positions on the Metro Cities Board, Minnesota Statewide Emergency Communications Board, Regional Council of Mayors, Family Housing Fund Board, and National League of Cities Transportation Infrastructure & and Services Committee, he said.
Droste said he has a Master's degree in telecommunications from St. Mary's University and a Bachelor's degree in business management from Upper Iowa University.

Droste has lived in Rosemount since 1989 and currently works as a realtor, he said. He also served 8 years in the Iowa National Guard, he said.
